Lake Cowichan Tubing Ban

A Message From ORKA

To our valued customers,

We regret to inform our customers that effective Monday, April 27 (2020),  the Town of Lake Cowichan voted in banning the activity River Tubing on the Cowichan River. The vote did not come lightly, but due to COVID-19 and the health concerns associated to large groups the vote was passed. At ORKA, Our number one priority is the health and safety of our patrons, staff, and fellow community members of Lake Cowichan. We ask anyone planning on coming to the town to please stay home and help flatten the curve.

Should we all do our part, we might be able to save summer 2020:)

How Long is the ban for?

It is hard to say at the moment if this ban will last the summer, or if it will be lifted before the season officailly kicks off. For now tubing on the Cowichan River is banned until further notice.

Who does this apply to?

This ban applies to everyone. If you are caught you may be fined by the town.
