The Town of Lake Cowichan, BC, is located 31 kilometers west of Duncan at the beginning of the Cowichan River. Cowichan Lake is one of the largest bodies of fresh water on Vancouver Island making it great for water sports. This large body of water is surrounded by the most magnificent mountains that allow for fresh, clean rain fall water to fill the lake. Start and End Locations:

There are many places on the river where a tubing trip can be started. The two most popular spots are Saywell and Central Park. Both parks offer easy access to the water and the only difference is the amount of time your trip will take. If you want to launch from Saywell Park you would have to walk roughly five minutes up the street in return for approximately thirty more minutes of tubing. The next option, Central Park, will give you a trip of roughly one and half hours. The benefit to this location is that it is located right across the street from our location and will have you in the water that much faster.

Because of the rocky terrain of the river bed and the amount of time that is spent in the sun, we recommend that you bring the following:

  • Sunscreen
  • Sandals or foot protection
  • Sunglasses
  • Water
  • Hat
